What is IGF-1 LR3?
IGF-1 LR3 is an 83 amino-acid analogue of insulin-like growth factor 1, modified to greatly reduce binding to IGF binding proteins.
What it's studied for
That reduced binding-protein affinity is the whole point: it makes LR3 the standard IGF-1 form in cell-culture work, where serum binding proteins would otherwise confound the result. It appears constantly in proliferation, differentiation and myoblast-culture protocols.
Storage & handling
Supplied lyophilised in a 1mg vial. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water for laboratory use; store at 2-8°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
