Mitochondrial-derived peptide · 10mg vial
Also known as: Mitochondrial ORF of the 12S rRNA type-c
Supplied for laboratory and research purposes only. Not for human consumption. Storage: 2 to 8°C after reconstitution; ambient until opened.
MOTS-c is a 16 amino-acid peptide encoded not in nuclear DNA but in the mitochondrial genome, within the 12S rRNA region.
MOTS-c is one of a small group of mitochondrial-derived peptides and is studied as a retrograde signal from mitochondria to the nucleus — AMPK activation, folate-methionine cycle metabolism and exercise-response models are the main strands of the literature.
Supplied lyophilised. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water for laboratory use; store at 2-8°C once in solution.
Work out the concentration for a given solvent volume, or read the full reconstitution guide.
Independently HPLC tested (99.0%). Certificate of Analysis available on request where one is on file for the lot. Supplied for laboratory and research purposes only. Not for human consumption, not for therapeutic or diagnostic use.
